Lisa Harris has been a ceramic artist and instructor in Chicago
for over 20 years. She began as a functional potter after college
and then pursued more sculptural work such as architecturally inspired
vessels, decorative bas-relief tiles for kitchen and bath, and larger
scale mural installations. She has also worked with the Arts Partnership
in the public schools to create theme based clay murals with the
students.
Lisa has been a Lillstreet studio member since 1985
and on its faculty teaching beginning to advanced ceramics for almost
as long. She is currently represented by Lillstreet Gallery, Fine
Line / Tile and Stone, and Terra Incognito in Oak Park, and has
participated
in local and national juried and invitational exhibitions.
Her work has been featured in the Chicago Tribune, Elle Décor,
Clay Times, Ceramics Monthly, and various local and national publications.
